Dita Jacobovitz explores the rural scenes surrounding her home aiming to remind her audiences of the natural beauty that exists around us. Inspired by nature, her oil landscapes create an inviting atmosphere that triggers a flush of emotions allowing us to immerse in her work and simultaniously become aware towards the protection of our environment. Jacobovitz works through observation and memory, blending the two perspectives in order to create something unique. As a result, each piece acquires its own special rhythm, as she transcends boundaries by expanding through the infinite open space of the landscape. Oils are her primary medium, building up the layers on the surface of her canvases.
“I am excited and fascinated each time I stand before a landscape. I draw inspiration from nature without any intermediaries, capturing the magic I feel in the air. As a result, each piece acquires its own special rhythm. I am interested in limits; as faced by human beings and artists in their work. In my art, I transcend these boundaries, by expanding through the infinite open space of the landscape.”
