These Artworks series are all about the embrace of the abductees Luis Herr and Fernando Merman who were rescued alive on February 12, 2024, as captured by the Army spokesman camera
The figures have been abstracted and are not personally identifiable. They become a mountain or a rock in the landscape.
Sometimes the group is in a neutral space and sometimes it is in the landscape.
The colors that make up the series are bright, and the painting is full of light
Using the oil paints allows me a wide range of shades and expression.
An almost intimate acquaintance with the object was formed. Each painting stands on its own but belongs to the series of these paintings, the paintings stem from one another. There was a process of leaving the landscape to another area with a story.
The work touches the family subject but does not deal with the relationships between the family members but with the whole group as one, as a symbol.
The choice came from my place as a mother of two sons who returned home from the reserves from the war and the first hug. I continued from there to an image taken from the photograph of the release of the kidnapped, the desire was to give a memory that would remain of such a defining moment, to give it a general representation not specific, like the landscapes I paint, in this case to strengthen the strength of the family United
These Artworks series were created during Gilda course ,four of them were included in the end year exhibition at the Israeli Art Gallery at the Memorial Center in Kiryat Tivon.
